Highly Sensitive, Easy to Use dsDNA Dye for DNA Quantitation
OVERVIEW
The Promega QuantiFluor® dsDNA System contains a fluorescent DNA-binding dye that enables sensitive quantitation of small amounts of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in solution. The quantitation of dsDNA is a very important step that is used in many biological applications, particularly in standard molecular biology techniques. This dye shows minimal binding to single stranded DNA (ssDNA) and RNA, allowing specific quantitation of dsDNA.
SPECIFICITY
Specific to dsDNA with minimal binding to ssDNA, RNA, protein and interfering compounds.
SENSITIVITY
Significantly increased sensitivity over absorbance at 260nm (NanoDrop) for those samples that are low in concentration.
Better or equal sensitivity performance when compared to PicoGreen®.
50 pg/mL vs. 250 pg/mL for PicoGreen® in a microplate system (200µl volume)
EASE OF USE
System includes all the necessary reagents to quickly set up and quantitate dsDNA.
Offers an integrated solution with instrument pairing. Sets up easily on microplate or single tube fluorometers from Promega.
